__Thank
you for taking the time to look over my resume. I am seeking new opportunities in the creative arena where my skills, talent and experience can be utilized to the fullest extent.
__As further described in the enclosed resume, my career experience spans over twenty-five years.
My experience has included creative direction, editing, hiring, managing teams, budgeting, conceptualization, design, layout and launches for major national consumer and trade magazines. Internet and web application design, usability prototyping and design, programming and consulting. Art director for Larry Flynt Publications, design for The United States Department of Defense, vast array of freelance work and the conversion of traditional methods to computerized ones. I have launched over five publications and have been awarded best cover and most improved magazine in the 1996 Maggie Awards.
__I have served as advisory committee board member for the Ladera Ranch LARCS board and the technology committee for LaderaLife.com. I founded and managed the Ladera Ranch Business Club, Home Business Club, the Ladera Ranch LGBT Club and owner of Club HEDO at Original Mike’s.
__I have been instrumental in volunteering my time and effort to produce many social and charitable events, most notably being the Taste of Ladera which had over 35,000 in attendance last year and over $250,000 has been raised for 22+ local charities. I am currently the chairman of Chocolate: The Event. I create high-end culinary events including Lance's Celebrity Chef Challenge at Taste of Ladera, The Giant Orange Festival, and Chocolate: The Event. I have been honored in the 2010 Spirit of Volunteerism Awards. I’ve served as creative director and board member for The Parkinson's Fund, committee member for the American Cancer Society, Celebration of Life Gala and currently working on the “Giving Back With Chocolate” campaign.
__I hire, manage and collaborate with designers, illustrators, photographers, writers, stock agencies, service bureaus, printers, internet consultants, programmers and computer technicians. I have the advantage of being an expert in print, online, and interactive multimedia platforms.

I
was responsible for the art direction,
look and feel of on-line and advertising,
interface graphics and animated-interactive
art for Workforce Magazine's Web
site, Workforce Online. I designed
the look and feel for the web site
and made all my art and articles
from Workforce Magazine (which I
was art director) online ready.
The site has changed completely
and grown a lot since I worked there
over a year ago, but luckily I have
some printed samples of my design
in my portfolio.
